This is amazing and so beautifully detailed. I research workhouses and the poor laws and have found quite a few references to 19th century artificial limbs being bought for workhouse inmates or recipients of outdoor relief. I don’t think they would have been as expensive looking as this though!
I think this one must have been for a classy lady
